Easter 2009

This Easter Garrett's parents & adopted sister Theresa were here visiting from NM & MD. Unfortunately it seems each time we get together we forget to take pictures & so we don't have any pictures of the kids w/ their Gpa & Gma Hassell or Aunt Theresa:( Regardless of photographic evidence, we had a really fun visit & it was so nice to have family with us during the holiday!

Payson was WAY too excited to hunt for eggs Easter morning to get her hair done & nice church shoes on. Oh well, she's beautiful not matter what she has on!!!

Easter Pageant 2009

This year we were able to attend the Easter Pageant at the LDS Temple in Mesa, AZ. It is a moving story of the life and teachings of our Savior Jesus Christ through music, dance & drama. It is a beautiful experience and we hope to make it a tradition each year!

Pondering The Beauty Of The Earth

I wanted to post this picture because this is SO Austin! Whenever we go outside somewhere Austin will walk slowly and just take it all in. He has a "stop and smell the roses" personality and this picture really captures it. It's like he's pondering the secrets of the universe or something.

Enjoying the Nice Weather God Sent Us!

We've been trying to get outside more lately and enjoy the lovely spring weather here in AZ before the dreaded heat arrives. Garrett is throwing the football with our friend Chris from church who lives in our housing community. Unfortunately Chris & Jodi are moving soon, so I guess I'll have to start learning how to throw the football around like a guy now! Hey I'm not so bad, right honey? ;>

Helpful Hassells

Yes this picture is real...my children are actually helping with the laundry! They volunteered on their own and they think it's fun to help Mommy, bless their little hearts...I just love them so! I figured I better capture this moment before they become teenagers and we have to force them to be helpful:>

Take Down The Quarantine Sign!

I haven't posted anything new lately as the past few months have been brutal with the winter sicknesses. Spring is in the air and we are all feeling well again...yippee! Payson took this extreme close up picture of Austin when he was sick one of the many, many times this fall/winter, and so I'm posting it because those dazzling blue eyes pull you away from his sad little sickly nose.
