Kids Primary Program

The kids have been working hard to get ready for the Primary Program. They looked so cute I stole a few shots before we left for church. They did a great job singing and Payson had a speaking line of "Who Am I and Where Did I Come From?" Austin tried his best to sing but he's a 4 year old boy, so many times we looked at him making funny faces and bobbing up and down. He made us laugh!

Halloween 2011

For the first time in about 10 years I decided to dress up for Halloween. I decided I wanted to be a fun mom but still be comfortable and not go too all out. I'm SO glad I didn't go all out because I was about 1 of maybe 5 adults at our church Trunk or Treat that was dressed up. As you can see Garrett was one of those party poopers. We really love our ward in Mesa and we had a fun night! Next year though, I think I'll hang up the lab coat and never dress up again. :)

Rapunzel & Optimus Prime :)

Our little Rapunzel. This costume was perfect for Payson because she reminds us so much of Rapunzel in the movie "Tangled".

New Addition to our family

At the end of August, we welcomed the newest addition to our family, "Shea", an adorable Maltese puppy. I like to call her "baby" most of the time, because she is like a little baby, chewing on and getting into EVERYTHING! Not to mention the potty training...oh the potty training! Minus the accidents on the carpet (which I must point out that I'm so thankful we have a carpet cleaner) she has brought a lot of joy and extra love into our lives!

The kids can't get enough of her!

Sneaky Smiles

All evening (and this morning) I kept finding these happy faces made out of Q-tips in the fridge. I asked Payson who did it. She looked at me with that cute, "hands in the cookie jar" grin. I asked her why she did that, thinking it was to make us smile. She said she thought it'd be funny if someone ate one! She made me smile anyway...and laugh!

Arts & Crafts

The kids, especially Payson, are getting so crafty these days. They both really love to draw. I love Payson's "person" puppet (as she called it) she made with the cotton balls & O-tips, and the fairies on her door! It would be so cool if they inherited artistic abilities from family!

The kids had an art show Sunday, the 3rd, taping all sorts of beautiful art work on the wall. I love the movement & deep colors, don't you. ;>

Payson's Kindergarten Program April 2010

Wednesday the 28th Payson had her first school performance. All the kindergarten classes perform a variety of children songs along with sign language. She did such a great job and we're so proud of our little girl! She's growing up so fast!! :(
PS To listen to her sing, you might have to go down to the bottom right of the page and pause the Blog music I have playing.

Easter 2010

We had a nice quiet Easter this spring. Even though the Easter Bunny paid his visit with special treats and the kids loved the traditional egg dying and hunting, we felt it was most important to make sure we reflected on our Savior Jesus Christ and the beautiful life, ministry and glorious resurrection He so humbly gave to show us the way back to our Father in Heaven.

Enjoying The Beautiful Spring Weather At The Park

Spring arrived and we love the park. Nothing like laying on a blanket in the grass in the spring time (especially with some yummy candy)!

Fieldtrip to Phoenix Zoo 2010

Payson had a field trip to the Phoenix Zoo in March 2010. Garrett took the day off from work and we signed up to be chaperones. We took Austin with us and had a small group of girls from Payson's kindergarten class assigned to take around the zoo. We saw lions, tigers and baby bears oh my. We had a fun morning!
