Payson's 5th Birthday 2009

Five years ago on July 24th, 2004 at 6:01pm, this beautiful creature drifted into our lives. It's hard to believe that much time has passed by already and that our baby girl will be starting kindergarten in just 10 days! Last Friday July 24th we celebrated her birthday with a with a few of her closest friends at Peter Piper Pizza and then some more presents at home with just our family. It was a very nice day and our spoiled little girl had a blast! ;>

He's a stud even with pizza sauce on his cute little mug!

Ohhhhh a Barbie Doll. The mothership has landed! :>

Awwwww, I'm gonna throw up....it's a virtual roller coaster ride. I think they played this game about 10 times!

4th of July 2009

For the 4th this year Garrett took Payson back to his home town in NM, while I stayed behind with Austin for some much needed R & R. At times it was hard without them here and we missed them tons, but since Payson had been waking me up almost every night for a month it was so good to get 5 nights of uninterrupted sleep! While Austin & I spent some quality time together here, Payson had a blast with her daddy riding the quad, playing with her cousins & grandparents. On the 4th she had the opportunity to ride w/ her cousin Karra in the back of her grandpa's smart car while throwing candy in the town 4th of July parade. She had so much fun she almost didn't come home;>

Grandparents Visit in June

It seems like in the last year or two each time we see our parents we forget to take pictures. This summer we were blessed with visits from both Garrett's parents & my Dad, so I made sure we got a few shots this time! My Dad visited the first part of June & then Judy & Earl were with us on Father's Day. Garrett & I were not fixed up for pictures, but at least we got a picture taken! The kids adore their grandparents and wish we all lived a little closer. We look forward to a visit from my Mom (Nana) in October!!

Fun games with Papa Joe.

Wedding Anniversary 2009

On May 30th we celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. Garrett took me shopping & to Scottsdale for dinner to Fogo de Chao, a Brazilian steak house. Though I was hesitant to try it, I'm so glad we went because it was a very richly tasting, cultural experience! The food was of the highest quality & the service was unique. Instead of receiving a menu & then ordering your food there are waiters walking around constantly with all these different kinds of meats stacked on sabers. And you have this coaster card on your table, one side green the other side red, and when you want to try something you flip the green side up and the waiter will slice some off for you. And when you want to rest & eat you flip the card to the red side. Then there is this to die for salad bar and the best steak & the most amazing cheesecake I've ever had in my life. After dinner we went & got our pictures taken together (which we haven't done since we were engaged). It was a wonderful anniversary!
